We opened June 6, 2016. When we opened, we started with 10 dog runs. We now have 15 large runs and 7 small runs. We have 8 cat condos. We have also extended our outdoor play area. Every dog is kept in their own indoor space. The large runs also have dog doors that can be opened weather depended and have their own outdoor space as well. The building does have heat and air conditioning.
Our Team
Bobbie Wright, CVT- Owner. Bobbie is a certified Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Manor College in 2003 with an associates degree in Animal Science and received her Veterinary Technician License through the state of PA. She worked at a small animal hospital outside of Philadelphia for 9 years. When she returned to the area, she worked for 2 local veterinary hospitals for 4 years until she decided to open up The Wright Pet Resort with her husband Jason. She wanted to a safe place where people could trust to board their 4 legged loved ones when they went away and did not have to worry. Jason & Bobbie currently has 1 dog, Bruiser and once child, Kennedy.
Jensen Luckenbill- Kennel Attendant. Jensen joined The Wright Pet Resort in June of 2018. She has recently graduated from The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College in Philadelphia, in March of 2022, studding pastry arts. She has a full time job at Boyer's IGA in Orwigsburg. She is a part time employee at The Wright Pet Resort. She currently has 2 Yorkshire Terriers.
Kiara Klusman- Kennel Attendant. Kiara joined The Wright Pet Resort in January 2020. She is a licensed massage therapist and cosmetologist at Che Figata Salon & Spa. She is a part time employee at The Wright Pet Resort. She has 2 cats. Athena, the cat, you may know because she was left in our care at the Wright Pet Resort. Kiara couldn't resist taking her home. She then added a new playmate for her, a rescue cat named Hamlet.
Alexis Blatt- Kennel Attendant. Alexis joined The Wright Pet Resort in October 2022. She is a part time employee at The Wright Pet Resort. She is currently employeed full-time at a local vet as a veterinary assistant. She has 2 children and 2 dogs named Gunner and Steel.
